“Do you realize you made me promise to return a spoon?” A spoon.

I didn’t even want it.

“It is not just a spoon Rayna. It is a silver spoon. I don’t know why I must give you so badly, but my intuition is never wrong. I want you to keep it and use it. When the time is right, I’ll take it back.”

Her words were spoken very seriously—such an old-fashioned woman. I decided to agree with her, my food was getting cold.

“Okay, Ma. Thank you for this silver spoon.” I said to match her serious tone. The spoon felt different in my hands, I didn’t think I could eat with it.

I put the spoon into my smoothie jug and went back to my rice, the drink seemed to be losing its chill so I decided to take a sip, besides, the rice was no longer hot.

I used the spoon to stir the drink before taking a sip. The cup was almost at my lip when Coco screamed. I was so taken aback that my drink spilled over my clothes.

“Coco!.”

I followed her eyes to the spoon I had laid on the table.
