Chapter 23

The outside of the palace is already surrounded by darkness and yet Amira is still stocked inside, trying to find a way to escape from the uniformed men guarding her chamber. 

If only she's instructed to kick those men out, she could have gone far from the palace now. 

"You've been working hard, gentlemen. Here, eat these snacks I have prepared for you." Amira hears Lolita's voice from the outside. She partly opens the door to peek for an opportunity to escape. The guards' attention is on Lolita so when she's motioned to exit, she quickly and carefully does so.

She walks briskly 'til she reaches the ground floor. Not expecting to cross paths with princess Czarina, she immediately lowers her head. Good thing the princess doesn't spare her a glance. She's wearing a servant's dress that's why.

"Phew!" she exhales. But when she hears a deep voice say, "You!" from behind her, she almost slaps her forehead and bit the inside of her lips.
