“A special employee, young master,” Maxine repeated as she took a glance again at her laptop.

“If you’re sure about the information you got that she worked here, then it might be the reason why she isn’t on my list of employees,” she added, her gaze going serious.

“I’m certain,” August answered, knowing how attentive to detail Fiona was as he had worked with her before in the Strategy Department. “What is a special employee? I didn’t know that there’s such a term here.”

“Special employees are those people inside this mansion that was personally chosen by Master Charles,” Maxine explained.
