Chapter 203: I'm Cunning, Too

“BECAUSE deep inside, you wanted to be free from anyone else’s grip,” August replied, snapping Jake out of his thoughts. “And you know what, Father?”

August stood up and walked in front of Jake. He only stopped when they already had a narrow distance between the two of them.

“No one would be successful in their businesses if they didn’t take the risk,” August muttered as he tapped Jake gently on the shoulder.

August glanced at the wall clock and noticed that it was already a few minutes since he left Daphne outside. He shook his head as he realized that Daphne might have been waiting for him.

“I need to go now, Father. Daphne must be waiting for me,” were the last words August said before he left Jake’s office.

As he went into the garden, there was only one thing running into his mind. To be able to execute his backup plan perfectly, he needed to accomplish another thing— Remove the barricades that would hinder his plan from executing continuously.
