Chapter 69: Mess

AUGUST BLINKED his eyes twice. Disbelief consumed him when he heard Sapphire’s sentence.

“Revenge?” August repeated as he tilted his head in confusion. “For who?”

He stared at her more than usual, and Sapphire could feel the intensity of his gaze like he was waiting for more explanation.

However, Sapphire didn’t speak after that. She just endured August’s intense stares as she lets the silence speak for her. She wasn’t ready to speak about it now, especially since it still hurts every time she remembers it.

It didn’t take them a while until they reached the Remington mansion.

“We’re here,” said Raquel as he parked the car in front of the mansion so they wouldn’t need to walk.

As Nicollo got out of the car, Raquel drove again to park the car in the garage. He opened the door on Sapphire’s side first to accompany them outside.

Sapphire went out first, and just when Nicollo closed the door to walk onto August’s side, she spoke.

“I’ll go first,” said Sapphire in a cold, authoritative tone
