Chapter Twenty-nine
After Leonard have finished explaining to Guillermo how Rio ended up being left alone in Amberwood, Guillermo then suggested that he would try to convince the elders of his people to help him rescue Rio.
Though Leonard knew that an army of natives cannot do anything against the werewolves but he does not have any choice but to accept the help they are offering. Before going to the plantation with Guillermo, Leonard decided to bring Mathilda first to a safe place. She agreed to leave the country. She kissed him goodbye at the airport with tears in her eyes. As much as she wanted to stay with him, the situation forbids it so. Leonard would not dare to risk her life just. He knew that it was the best thing to do.

It was already mid-day. Both sides were all taking their time planning how to attack and counter-attack. Rio was already awake, he went downstairs and saw Gavino talking to the other sect members, carefully inspecting the possible area that can be used as an opening through the fortress of Dante. Though outnumbered from the start, Dante's men managed to cope up with their enemy. Rio knew that Gavino will soon receive Dante's wrath any moment from now. He tries to push himself as close as he can but to no avail, these Lycan armies are well trained and would not back down from him that easily. He can now see the fully transformed Alpha walking towards Gavino who is now lying on the ground.Gavino tried to get back up to his feet though he was not feeling good after the blow he took from the Alpha. He had managed to stand up but Rio can see that he is wobbling to his feet. The Alpha in front of him seems to have no intentions of giving mercy at all. Guillermo started to heal Rio, yes, the shapeshifting natives have the ability to heal also. They may not be as powerful compared to war werewolves but their speed, agility, and healing ability make them a tough enemy. Rio had transformed back into his Sigma form; he then lets out a loud howl inflicting fear to some of the Lycan warriors of Dante. The sect and the other supporter of the Sigma have regained their courage and holed back synchronously accepting the call of the Sigma.Dante is now at the bitter end of a defeat. It might be better if he accepts losing to his brother and at least save the lives of his men, but he was too blinded by his hatred. He would not dare back down and holds his claim firmly.Rio sees a signal that Dante has accepted his defeat, so he decided to attack first.
