59. Congratulations
...Jax POV...
When I caught Lexi trying to leave earlier, I knew something was up. Ever since Ryker was taken, she's become a shell of herself. She hasn't even rested or ate anything ever since her and Xavier returned from wherever they were captured. The only time she's rested is when she's passed out. Either from a panic attack, or from stress.
I was nervous about her going out by herself, but I know that the boss would be happy knowing that she's attempting to have some sort of normalcy. I figured that if I went with her, then I could at least make sure that nothing happened to her. And well me. Xavier would kill me in a heartbeat if something ever happened to her, and I could've stopped it. So I 'un'willingly decided to let her go wherever it was she wanted to go.

I wake suddenly, not knowing how long I've been passed out for. I feel a sting in my leg, and realize that they must've injected me with something."What did you do to me?" "Lexi?" I hear someone call out to me."Lexi?" The voice repeats.I feel groggy, as I slowly wake myself up."Lexi?" I hear the familiar voice call out once more."Xavier?" I ask."Well it must've been some dream, because we're going to be late if we don't leave in the next ten minutes

I feel the sun warming me up as I begin to wake up. I turn over to see Xavier resting next to me. I smile as I watch him sleep peacefully. I reach upwards, and place a gentle kiss on his cheek. I lower myself back on the bed to rest my head along his smooth chest. I relax as I listen to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. A few moments later, I head to our closet to get changed. Just as I'm leaving the closet, I feel firm hands wrap around my waist. I smile as Xavier twists me around so that I'm looking up at him. He places a passionate kiss on my lips, taking my breath away."Almost ready to go?" He asks, pulling away from me slightly."Yes. I'll be ready to leave in ten minutes. I just want to grab a quick breakfast first."Xavier simply nods, as he heads into the closet to get changed. After I've had my breakfast, I make my way to Xavier's waiting car. ...Xavier POV...It's been just over two weeks since I last saw Lexi. My heart crumbles just at the thought. I haven't been able to concentrate on anything since she left. I'm mainly upset with myself. I should've seen this coming. Lexi has, and always will be a caring person. She puts the world first before herself. She has always been selfless like that. I wake up in the bed, in whatever dungeon I'm being held in. I can't remember the events leading up to how I got here. My head is spinning, and I feel groggy. It feels like I've been sleeping for a week. Slowly everything begins to come back to me. I remember trading myself for Ryker, and how they've been torturing me to get info about Xavier, but other than that, I draw a blank. I look around, which is when I notice that I'm no longer chained. They didn't bother tying me up after they brought me back to my room.I slowly begin to stand, feeling everything in my body ache in displeasure to my movements. Without moving too much, I try to analyze my body. Making note of any injuries I've sustained. Other than my ribs, nothing else seems to be broken, which is a relief.
