A mess

*****Leo POV*****

It is late afternoon when we decide to pack up to leave. Owen and Luca are taking down the tent when a shiny object falls down and Riah picks it up.

“Whose ring is this?” she asks innocently and my whole world falls apart.

In a split second, Hunter’s gun is pointing at us and Niki has Nick in her arms.

“Niki? Hunter?” Becca is as shocked as everyone else but I’m not. I know that ring too well and the fact that it fell off my tent has deadly consequences.

“Someone please explain what’s happening?” Luca looks at Niki with confusion written all over him.

Niki does not respond to Lucas but looks at me with a devastated expression that breaks my heart.

“You killed my father.”

I look away, unable to take the pain reflected in her eyes.

“Leo? What? That’s madness!” Wendy exclaims while Owen curses under his breath. He is the only one who gets how much trouble we are in.
