Chapter Forty-seven

Love was a scary thing.

It consumed your every moment, altered your very life and influenced your ever action. It shrank your life until it's size became the one you loved.

Maddie watched Drew sleep, watched the rise and fall of his chest, studied his face relaxed in slumber, noted the unruly lock of his hair that fell over his forehead and felt her heart squeeze within her.

Never had she felt so strongly about a person. And even though she knew that he felt the same way about her, she still wondered why she had not vocally expressed her feelings for him.

It was almost six months and she was still yet to tell him that she loved him.

Every time she tried, it somehow always got stuck in her throat. She did not know why. It was like a part of her was scared that if she did, she would somehow jinx this, cause the second shoe to drop and bring everything crashing down.
