Drew looked into the eye of every old codger.

They weren't exactly old. Some were middle-aged but there were men who were in their mid-thirties and early forties in their midst. He called them old codgers because it was so hard to get them to see things in a different light than what they were used to. Typical geriatric behavior.

He had actually been surprised that Uncle Rich actually gathered them within few minutes. Even more surprised that each of them had showed up.

He waved the printed email. "This right here is the printed email from Trofí talking about an offer previously made to buy McBride Foods. An offer I am certain you all are aware of. An offer you all deemed fit to keep from me…"

"An offer that was made when you were hiding away somewhere." Fred cut in.

Fred Wilbur. The man hated him. He had to, because what else could explain the amount of disdain the man had shown him since he returned to McBride Foods?
