Chapter 31: Kamron

I’ve been floating on cloud nine for days. That night I spent with Rose was the best night sleep I’d had in ages. I adored waking up wrapped in her arms, her nose snuggled into my fur. Okay, so I might be a little weird, but we can’t share my bed as humans, yet. I’d caught her alone at the bus stop after school on Tuesday, and my mind drifted to those moments we cuddled.

I slid in next to her, and began playing with her hair. I don’t remember when I started doing that, but she has never stopped me. I smirked at her as she looked absorbed with what was on her phone. “What’s the story today?” I asked her.

“It’s a rejection novel,” was her simple response.

“Rejection?”
