Chapter 74 Puzzlement

Skye’s answer alarmed me. No wonder there was no blood on Marco because wasn’t shot! 

“He was poisoned….” was all that registered in my mind when Skye answered my panicked queries. I heard her say a lot or at least more than what I could barely recall by now, but these three words were the only ones I could remember.

Being poisoned would have been as fatal if not more than being shot by a gun’s bullet because if the poison penetrated the bloodstream, it would be challenging to pull through the rough patch if the golden time slips away.
