Chapter 97 A Wish

When we reached where the bound captives were, in the gazebo, Skye was a totally different person compared to how I knew her. She was like a walking fireball with all the flaming fury in her whole aura.

Her words were few but her actions were louder than gongs being played on a ritual ceremony.

“Tell me who sent you here?” Skye asked in an icy tone. “I don’t have the patience, let alone time to waste on you. I demand an answer to every question I will ask. Failing to do so, well, I will at least give you an option to choose from.”

Skye stated her words with an indescribable authoritativeness. She showed a patent view of fearlessness. But to top them all, she emanated no mercy, closest to ruthlessness!

“Would you rather have your fingernails plucked one by one, that way, if you please me, you can still hope for the nails to grow back. Or, would you prefer to have your fingers cut one by one? I believe my queries are too few to count, anyway ....”
