Chapter 134 Just a Neighbor

All of a sudden, Liam's phone rang. It broke the silence in the office.

It was a cheery ringtone, and he had purposely set it for a certain someone.

"Liam, is the rumor true?"

When Liam heard the teary voice from the other end of the line, he couldn't help but rub the spot between his brows.

As expected, Hannah had called to ask him about it.

"Hannie, I have to get married someday. You know that too."

"Didn't you say that you'd take care of me for your whole life? Why did you still have to marry another woman?"

"Hannie, even if I'm married, I'll still look after you for the rest of my life," Liam persuaded in a soft voice.

"Once you have a wife, you'll treat her well. And you'll ignore me again, just like what happened in the past. Liam, I've waited for you for so long. I thought our relationship would change after I came back. But ... why don't you want me?" Hannah sobbed.

Her crying tugged at Liam's heartstrings.
