Chapter 41 Just a Simple Transaction

David didn't end up getting transferred to a VIP ward because Amelia hadn't arranged it for him. David didn't want to spend the money he had on it either.

He still had some reservations as to how his money could be spent. Amelia still sent David and Sarah meals every day. While there, she pretended not to hear all the sardonic remarks they made.

"If you're so sure that he's behind everything, why not just report it to the police?"

Although Amelia's last conversation with Liam had ended on bad terms, she took some time to reflect on David's situation after. She figured that Liam probably wasn't behind the beating. Liam was a dignified man, after all. He wouldn't push away responsibilities like that.
