Chapter 48 You’ve Done It

Amelia stared at Liam, who was sleeping peacefully in bed. Her heart was filled with mixed emotions.

Although she had only started working, she wasn't a clueless woman.

The dinner party tonight had made her uncomfortable. She especially disliked the lecherous gaze Vincent kept shooting at her. She couldn't help but wonder what would've happened if Liam hadn't been around. Would Vincent have made a move on her?

Her phone rang suddenly. She snapped out of her thoughts and answered it quickly.

"Hi, Farah. Did you get home okay?"

On the other end of the phone, Farah was leaning against a warm chest. She slid her fingers along the broad chest as she replied, "Yeah, I'm staying at a hotel right now. Have you sent Mr. Prescott home yet?"

Amelia glanced at the man on the bed. "Yes, I have. He looks like he's deep in sleep right now."

Farah smirked when she heard that. Judging by the way Amelia talked about Liam's current state, it was clear that she was still at his place.
