Chapter 69 Cheap

Breakfast progressed peacefully. As she got in the car, Amelia found that the person in the driver's seat was actually Liam himself.

"Where's John?"

"I had him do something else," Liam said indifferently, waiting for Amelia to get in the car.

Amelia thought to take the back seat as usual, but Liam was driving today. She recalled how he had mocked her when she'd taken the back seat that time he'd sent her back to her neighborhood when she was still living elsewhere. He said that she was treating him as her chauffeur.

After some hesitation, Amelia pulled open the front passenger door.

As she got into the car, she didn't notice that Liam was smiling in the driver's seat.

"Thank you!"

Amelia suddenly thanked him while they were at a traffic light, which made Liam look at her in confusion.

"Farah told me about what happened with Mr. Borris. So, thank you."

When Liam turned to look at her and saw her sincere expression, he got the feeling that she really only wanted to thank him.
