Selena came home a bit earlier because she wanted to fix things with Gabriel before it escalated into a messy situation.
Selena dropped her bag on the living room couch, then headed into the kitchen.
"Madam, what are you doing here?" Lily asked out of shock.
The other maids seemed confused when they saw Selena standing at the kitchen entrance.
"Hey, guys." Selena gently said.
"Hello, madam." They all replied together.
"Lily, do you know Gabriel's favorite food?" Selena asked as she walked further into the kitchen.
"Spaghetti with Lobster Pomodoro." Lily said.
"Can you guys teach me how to make it?" Selena asked.
She felt a bit embarrassed. But since it was for a good cause, she did not mind that much.
"What?" Lily softly asked with fear in her eyes.
"Sir, a birthday party is not an excellent idea." Guss said while holding back his anger.Though he had been trying to convince Gabriel for days not to host Selena's birthday party with no success, he thought to give it one last try since tomorrow was the day."Guss, if you have a short-term memory, then resign because I don't need an incompetent worker. You have repeated this statement for exactly six days straight, and yet my decision remains the same. The party must go on." Gabriel replied.Guss paced back and forth as he stared at his young master, ignoring him as Gabriel's eyes remained focused on his computer screen."Sir, what about Mila? I informed you days ago that she met with the Bloody Tears gang. These alphas are lawless and despicable. Whatever Mila visited was about can not be great for you or madam. Please think this through, boss." Guss explained with frustration in his eyes.
On the evening of the next day, the villa looked like a dark paradise with sparkles of fireflies lighting up the sky. From the decoration to interior design, everything was unbelievable, and a dream brought into reality.A soft knock on the room door drew Gabriel's attention away from buttoning his shirt. He headed towards the door and opened it.
The hall was silent as everyone anxiously stared at Selena, resting in Gabriel's arms. No one spoke for a while since they were all in shock. She clutched onto Gabriel's hand as her body shivered in his hand and her eyelids continuously shut and open. Her nails dug into his skin while she tried to get a grip on herself. But what her body was undergoing was something she could not repress anymore.Selena did not have to explain how she felt because Gabriel went through the same pain she was experiencing. He put on a brave face and held onto her, then stood up with her in his arms."Selena!!!" Joe worriedly called out as he rushed over to the stairs."Stay back!" Gabriel shouted.Everyone seemed completely afraid as they stared into Gabriel's face, but he cared less about either one of them. With all his might, Gabriel carried Selena up the stairs.
Once Bob was sure that no guests remained inside the villa, he took two guards with him to the helicopter, and they set off.It took a while for Bob and the others to reach their destination. But the moment they arrived, Bob did not waste any second in getting to Bila's cottage. The old alpha was already waiting for them outside of his home, and that shocked Bob."Greetings to the great one." Bob respectfully said."I thought you would follow your master's example and call me a blind bat, Bob." Bila jovially said."How did you..."Bob did not end his statement as he stared in amazement at the old alpha's blind eyes while wondering how Bila instantly recognized him."I lost my sight and not my sense of smell." Bila stated before giggling.Bob laughed a bit out of embarrassment since he could hear the two guards chuckli
The coldness in Gabriel's gaze when he stared at Bila made the old alpha shiver for a second."Don't look at me in such a manner. I was giving my honest opinion to help you through your situation." Bila stated."Keep your absurd opinion to yourself. Rejecting my wife will never be an option for me." Gabriel coldly said."Are you sure!!! Only time will tell, Gabriel. There's always a sacrifice at the end of it all. Don't say that I did not warn you."Gabriel hated the parable and unclear responses Bila always gave him since it wasn't as helpful as he wanted it to be."Blind bat, speak with understanding if you don't want me to rip your tongue from your mouth!" Gabriel harshly said with less patience in his eyes."Now, now. There's no need for threats. We are all civilized people. Plus, considering your current state, you don't have the strength left in you to do much
It was morning in the villa, and Selena had never felt so happy in herself. She went to bed last night feeling eager to know more about herself, and now that the day has finally arrived for Gabriel to tell her the truth, she could not contain her happiness. "Someone seemed rather joyful this morning," Gabriel mumbled with his eyes still closed. Selena gazed up at Gabriel's face as she rested her head on his arms before giggling a bit out of excitement. "You are not going to back out, right?" Selena asked with her eyes still focused on him. "Out of what?" Gabriel mumbled while striving his best not to laugh. Selena pouted after hearing his question. Her eyes frowned at him when she saw that he was smiling. Gabriel suddenly felt a weight above him, so he opened his eyes, then gazed at Selena sitting on top of his lap. At that moment, there was passi
Selena stared at Gabriel in disbelief with her eyes, and the fact that he seemed firm on his decision made her even more broken."Well, I will take my leave now." Dr. Lee said.He got no response from Selena or Gabriel. However, that did not stop him from hurriedly walking away."You lied to me!" Gabriel screamed. The villa became quiet as Gabriel's voice echoed through the walls, and every worker in the building knew that the medical area was off their limit.Selena then closed her eyes for a second when she sensed the heartbreak that Gabriel felt while saying those words."I am sorry." Selena whispered as tears rushed down her eyes."You always have to cause problems! My instructions were simple. Take the damn pills, Selena! That's all you had to do!" Gabriel harshly said out of frustration. At that instant, S
Everything in the villa remained calm, but nothing felt peaceful. Gabriel had been standing in the same spot for what looked like hours in his thoughts, and yet, he did not recognize the passing of time until he got a phone call from Guss."What is it?" Gabriel asked."Sir, why aren't you at the office yet?" Guss's concerned voice came through the phone speaker.Gabriel walked toward the couch and took a seat, then stared at the wound on his knuckle with emptiness in his eyes. The cut was not deep, and he knew it would heal soon, yet the real wound with the one in his heart."What is it, Guss?" He asked."It's madam's father. Apparently, he had filed a complaint to the elders, and they are requesting your presence in their chamber." Guss's voice flowed into Gabriel's ears, and he frowned."What is his complaint about?""I don't know, boss. They sent a re
