Chapter 27

Anna

Danny had immediately taken me to the hospital. He had been so panicked that I became even more scared than I already was. I had always thought that I wouldn't care about the babies because of their father, but the thought of losing them wasn't sitting well with me.

Despite everything, they were the only ones that I had. Having a miscarriage would only make me depressed and guilty because it would be my fault. I hadn't been eating well, I hadn't been taking care of myself as I should have and I hadn't even visited the hospital once to have myself checked.

I was seated on a hospital bed, waiting for the doctor to come in to see me. They had told Danny to wait outside since he wasn't the father of the child. I was scared, really scared.

The doctor came in and shut the door firmly behind him.

"Good day, Miss Stone." He greeted with a smile.

He sat down on the chair beside the bed and placed his clipboard on his lap.

"Good morning, doctor." I said as I let out a deep breath.
