Chapter 10: In My World.

Kira's POV.

The employees exchanged uncertain glances, their murmurs fading into an uneasy silence.

"I understand your concerns," I continued, choosing my words carefully. "Change can be intimidating and maybe unwelcoming, especially when it comes in the form of new leadership. But I assure you, my intentions are not to disrupt, but to innovate."

A ripple of skepticism ran through the crowd and some of them rained cusses at, but I pressed on, undeterred because I'm in the mood for reasoning.

"I know that earning your trust won't be easy," I acknowledged, meeting their gazes with a bored expression. "But I'm willing to work for it. I'm willing to listen to your grievances, to address your concerns, and to prove myself worthy of this position."

"So, I propose a compromise," I declared, leaning forward in my chair. "Give me a chance to prove myself. Give me your feedback, your suggestions, your criticisms. And together, we can build a better future for this company. What do you all say
