She folded her arms and then tried to focus her eyes on a painting on the wall. It was easy to feed her eyes on different things, Aiden was an art collector and he had a piece in almost every room. Aiden yawned as he made his way downstairs. For the first time in weeks, he had slept peacefully and he was taking a break from work which was an absolute shocker to his personal assistant. Life was great, the association of business managers and administrators had nominated for businessman of the year which he had won twice in a row. He was certain he would win again because of how hard he worked, his father’s company recorded twice the usual amount of sales in just a few months of him taking over.He decided to skip his usual morning run because the day was strictly for resting and his hands were still bruised from boxing.As a married man, he wasn’t doing as bad as he thought he’d do. She scribbled some notes in her book as she tried to keep up with her lectures. Usually, she was weeks ahead of what was being discussed in class so her little break from school didn’t change anything. The whispering that followed her around had died down, all people did was stare at her which she didn’t mind. She had to develop tough skin if she wanted to complete her degree or she waited another year. She sighed for the umpteenth time as she focused her eyes on the board. Zoning out was difficult, Aiden somehow occupied her thoughts the most. She had seen him shirtless in the kitchen and she struggled for words. Ray.co was one of those tall buildings that fascinated her as a child. It was always full of life, during lunch break, a troop of workers would flood into their little family cafe for food. She liked how they were dressed smartly, how they used so many business terms she didn’t understand as a child. It was her dream to work there but she gave up when she saw it was almost impossible. She loved the office so much, she imagined that if she ever got an employment there, her father won’t be quiet about it, he’ll proudly tell everyone who visited his restaurant that his daughter was one of the workers at the skyscraper. She sighed as she took in the building and it’s view. Everytime she came there, she was shocked by the size and height of the building. A couple of days had passed since she accompanied Aiden to Ray.co. She played the role of a supportive wife by sorting out the drinks, food and decor for the soirée. It wasn’t as easy as she thought it would be, she had to find diverse meal options as people from all over the world were coming. The fun part was seeing Aiden everyday. Their conversations were mostly about work but she loved to hear him speak. She found it strange that she was turned on by him merely addressing his workers or giving them orders, he was so manly, a man that could take charge of any situation. One afternoon, there was a mistake in a shipment for a client and an argument began. Aiden quickly jumped in and diffused the situation, he handled it with so much professionalism and confidence. The Braithwaite’s home was a castle. She watched in awe as the large iron gates opened up for Aiden to drive in. There was a huge water fountain in the middle of the compound, she had never see one as magical as it was. There was a beautiful gazebo at the east side of the compound and although she didn’t have a clearer view of it, she knew if she had one in her house, she’d spend most of her time there. Fairy lights were hung around the wooden framework which reminded her of a princess magical story.
