CHAPTER 26

Maria was fast asleep in the new bed she laid on while Victor was still watching over her. He had searched several times for Maria's companions until the internal security told him that she went with different men.

"What kind of guardians are these? This young lady is celebrating her birthday and almost got raped?" Victor said angrily and stood up to leave Maria.

He hadn't gone far but he heard her growl. When he turned around, he saw her hugging the pillow and stomping her legs.

"Hmmm, pa—ma," grumbled Maria.

Victor slowly approached and sat next to Maria's seat. He was afraid to touch her skin because he might still be an opportunist and just take advantage of the girl's weakness.

"Hey, wake up. Ms. Maria, you are having a nightmare."

Maria turned around and was surprised to see Victor's face up close.

"I'm sorry," Maria sat down and straightened her hair. Suddenly it stood up to drink water.

Victor just watched her smooth movements, even her flawless legs. The young man
