A Familiar Unexpected Face

Hannah:

I can't believe it, my mother was in my arms, after eighteen years of living alone, and finally she was in my arms. I hugged her even more tightly thinking this was all a dream and she could vanish anytime soon, but she didn't.

She drew away for me to get a better view of me, her hands hovering above my face as she touched me lightly, her hands shaky like she couldn't believe I would be standing right in front of her.

There were a lot of tears shared between both of us, between a mother and a daughter.

While she viewed me, I also accessed her myself. She had fallen into a bad state as she wasn't the same as the portraits that I had seen, her cheeks were sunken, her eyes red, and her lips were chapped and purple.

"My sweet sweet child, look how you've grown so much, I've missed everything," she drew me back into another hug which I didn't protest to as I buried myself into her hair which wasn't the same either, the length was cut short, it had lost its shine.
