The thought of Dr. Donovan, still living, sent an irk down my spine. The little smirk on his lips when he had noticed that the pendant had affected me when he found out that I was just like my Mother.

I had thought I had ended everything, with Alpha Jaxon gone, my Mother and I would be safe but he had slipped my mind, I hadn't seen him since the first time in those tunnels.

I knew there was something I was forgetting, it was nagging at me all the way back to the pack house but I didn't place any meaning to it.

When I finally did, our eyes locked and he continued, "We are going to be fine, we will take care of him just like we did Alpha Jaxon, he won't harm you." He tried to reassure me but I had different ideas and scenarios in my head.
