I sighed, looking at Siya's retreating figure. I had yet again failed in keeping my promise to myself, and I regretted inviting her to join me for lunch. All I wanted was for her to feel like she was part of my family. But everyone present here made her feel like an outcast. All the persons here were her wrongdoers, including me. I never thought in my quest for making her feel at home would result in a disaster.
