Alexander's POV.

"I see you want to side with him now, Summer!" I lashed out, my eyes piercing into hers, awaiting a reaction.

"And what if I do?" She snorted, briefly diverting her gaze before locking eyes with mine again.

Her response struck a nerve. It was unwise for her to reply in such a manner because, in my world, anyone posing a threat to my mate faced severe consequences.

I never hesitated to eliminate anyone endangering her or our connection.

"Then I can't have a threat in my firm, Summer… I can't have a threat right under my fur!" I declared, a scornful smirk playing on my lips, emphasising the gravity of the situation.

Her eyes widened with a mix of shock and uncertainty.

She seemed unsure, she was obviously not fully aware of the outcome of her words.

The noticeable tension in the air only heightened her anxiety.

"And what does that mean, Alpha Alexander? What is that supposed to mean?" Her hand clenched as she took deliberate steps towards me, demanding an explanation
