Seconds later, Micah was on his feet, staring warily around the forest while Alasdair also released a growl of his in warning.

Among them all, Joanna caught a whiff of the intruders scent and her eyes widened in pure shock.

She immediately pulled the tiny bag she had been holding and brought out a bottle from it.

As fast as possible, she drank a sip of it and closed it back before rising to her feet.

Just then, she heard the Crunching of dried sticks behind her. Joanna didn't need anyone to tell her that the intruders were now behind her.

She saw Alasdair about to change but what bothered her the most was to leave this place. She stared directly into Alasdair's eyes, still standing where she was and whispered, 'Please take me home.'

He frowned, still releasing a warning growl to the wolves, expecting them to back off. He could see the look in their eyes.

On one hand they were scared of him and on the other hand, they were in need of something. The question was what did they want? He
