"Sometimes, you know, I just wish you can get her to stop hiding so much in mama's room and stop fussing over me, then maybe you two can get married and have those Alfies we talked about."

She'd looked up at him with soulful brown eyes, giving him an innocent toothy grin.

"It gets lonely sometimes."

He echoed her sentiments.

It did get lonely for him too even though it was for different reasons for them and he'd wanted to grant her that wish so badly.

Too bad you can't force someone to love you, too.

He'd just let her adorable self lie in his arms, holding her until she gave in to the whims of sleep, sitting in his favorite window couch.

His eyes involuntarily darted to her and she looked away from him almost immediately as their eyes met, as if she couldn't bear to be caught staring at him...

Screw this stupid game they were playing.

He was getting his damn answers now.

She was messing his head up and if this is the end for them, he needed to hear her say the words- and why.
