“The question is… can you… live with that… decision?” Mike didn’t intend on wasting too much effort in lecturing his sister, yet a few simple words were enough to explain what was meant.

SOUL BOUND SAVIOR.
No matter how much she wept or pleaded out loud, he was gone forever… without a trace of him ever existing in the first place. “Mike…” Marcel mumbled under her breath, slumping onto the cold tiled floors, head hung low staring at her empty hands with the stain of dried tears trialed across her cheeks feeling a sense of helplessness not being able to grab hold of him, to rescue him from the call of the afterlife… he had literally slipped right through her fingers. “Don’t worry, you’ll be better soon.” Marcel spoke reassuringly, unwrapping the extra layer of protective gauze used to keep the glass containers in place while running around to get where the boy was. “It’s sort of a cure to reverse the paralysis… but I don’t know how long it’s going to take to start working.” She continued to explain, randomly choosing one of the vials, shaking it in the air above his head before adding… “Let’s just hope Mike was right and this actually works.” Ignoring Nate’s widen eyes that nearly doubled in size as if ready to argue with her risky logics of taking advise from a dead guy, she cautiously unscrewed the small black cap before using one of her hand to lift his head a bit while the other carefully brought the bottle towards his mouth, p

“What are you saying? Don’t tell me you plan on killing him now.” Nate frowned in uncertainty stepping off of the bed yet continuing to take support on its edges… thought the general effects of the drug had worn off; his legs were still a bit cramped from lying down for such a long period of time. “That’s exactly what I mean, too many innocent lives are in danger; if I try to run that won’t solve anything… it will only prolong the results, besides I haven’t found mom as yet and dad’s not going to be much help in the condition he’s in.” Marcel explained in a distracting manner, her mouth was talking but her body was busy searching for the hidden exit Mike had led her out of the last time she was in a rush to return to the isolated safe room. “Would you stop and think about this… M… M…&

“Find her.” Victor demanded in a low tone as soon as they managed to barrow through the open hole in the wall. Despite knowing there was a slight possibility that they might not be able to see the girl even if she was there in the flesh, he was reluctant to give up trying… perhaps the effects of the fumes would soon ware off and without access to more, both her and her accomplices would be captured before the situation escalates beyond repair. “Master, there’s nothing in here.” Bradford stepped closer to the man, whispering under his breath taking a quick glance around the dusty room. “Oh my god! That was close.” Marcel heaved a loud breath of relief as she anxiously shoved the boy into the familiar insolated room, instantly closing the door behind them before leaning against its frame, both hands held over her chest as if trying to calm the rapid beats from popping out of her rib cages. “Close? Are you kidding me M? That was beyond dangerous, what if Victor had caught us? What then? Who else is going to rescue your mom if both of us are dead?” Nate angrily lectured. “Hey! Enough of the what ifs. Mike already had a hard time convincing me to do this, so don’t go trying to change my mind again. No matter how scary that doctor evil is, I have to stop him one way or another.” She pouted defensively, glaring at the boy with a hint of annoyance. Surely if her

“M, I don’t think uncle’s going to overreact that much… you said he was just sleeping right? Then he won’t cry out in pain… if you’re worried then it should be about how he’ll feel seeing you after nearly three and a half months.” Nate shared his views in a concerning tone, stepping closer to the small hospital designed bed, observing the girl’s actions and getting a better look at Maxwell’s resting figure as Marcel carefully adjusted his head back in place shortly after giving him the strange liquid. “He saw me already, but the last time I may or may not have gone a bit overboard and said some things that might cause him to be... anxious.” She admitted guiltily, turning towards the boy with a look that said it all… ‘I know I was wrong, but please don’t lecture me.’
SOUL BOUND NO OTHER OPTION.
“Marcel! Don’t move… let’s just give him time to think.” Nate slowly retreated motioning the girl to do the same, signaling her to stand beside him. “I’m warning you! Don’t pull any stunt, tell me where my wife is and let us go!” Maxwell continued to shout out, shifting his head from left to right in an agitated manner as if feeling completely cornered. Marcel grew anxious by the second seeing the blade inches away from his throat and him so fidgety, one wrong move and whether or not he truly intended on slitting his own neck, that might unfortunately be the results. If the duo didn’t know better given all that had recently happened, they would have no doubt accepted his behavior as being mentally unstable, but thankfully the truth made everything else fall into place… it finally made

“Thank you.” Nate obediently let go of her hand, gently placing both his palms over her soft cheeks slowly bringing his face closer to hers as he stared intently into her eyes... simply reassuring her right before lightly pecking her parched lips. “Where do we start?” Marcel asked for what seemed like the hundredth time… feeling like they were right back where it all begun, while ignoring the fact that for some strange reason his actions made her think of a lover’s last kiss… a bitter sweet parting.
