They stared into each other's eyes for sometime, until Adonis broke the eye contact.

"I'm off to bed, I'm feeling sleepy already" he said dropping the slice of pizza he had in his hand and getting up from the chair.

"You can have the rest of the pizza in case you get hungry" he said looking down at her, and just like that he as gone.

"What an audacity" Mary said angrily after he was gone.

She looked at the time, it was almost midnight.

"I had better go to bed lest I suffer a fatigue tomorrow" she said before she stood up.

She looked at the box of pizza on the ground, ignoring it and not giving it a second thought she walked away with a sneer on her face.

That night Mary locked her room door, because she was scared of Adonis. She was scared that he could come into her room while she was asleep at night and do something bad to her.
