THIRTY

It was just a day to the day Mary was to leave, and she felt exhausted and tire already from Emma’s troubles. Emma had been nothing but mean and inconsiderate to her all the while and she would be more than glad to leave.

She had served her coffee that morning but Emma had insisted that she wanted tea instead, Mary had to take the coffee back to the kitchen and made to start preparing Emma’s tea.

She finished making the tea and took it to her room but she had already fallen asleep. After deliberating within Hersey for sometime, Mary decided to leave the tea on the bedside table.

While she made her way to her room, she felt like she heard someone speak downstairs, it sounded like Adonis.

He had so much gotten into her head that she even heard his voice every now and then.
