Three months later...

As the days of training trudged along, so did the connection I once felt to my mate. I think the distance I had from her was starting to weaken our bond now that we've met. It was still there and the pain of a delayed rejection was still present.

"I'm so proud of you two! My knight of Tirado," Alizabeth smiled lovingly at Marlo. "Thanks for coming," he replied cheekily. "I've missed you," she whimpered. "I think we should go somewhere," Marlo growled. "I've got us a room at the Inn," Alizabeth said seductively.

I do not know what else was said because I bolted. There was no way I wanted to see how their mating played out. I had other pressing concerns like how I planned to punish Karly, William, and Daphne's adoptive mother. They're criminals who deserved to hang for selling innocent she-wolves to rogues for the Goddess only knows.
