Chapter 31- Such a jerk

Grace mentally rolled her eyes as she added. “James, whether you approve or not, I am part of this war. I didn’t go looking for it; the Hunters brought it to my door when my supposed father and grandmother died. All I’m asking is that you show me how to be more effective. I should think the Brotherhood would welcome any allies they can get.”

“No!” James grumbled.

“I can help.”

“This isn’t about the Brotherhood and you know it.”

“And why is that?”

“I can't risk losing you again, Grace.” James murmured, his voice so serious that Grace thought that maybe she misheard him as he continued, “This is about revenge, an eye for an eye.
