HOLLY’S POV,
Holly buries her head against Nolan his wide shoulders. His strong arms hold her in a tight embrace and for a while, they just stay like that. She feels calm and relieved because the distance between them was dreadful. Nolan softly puts her down and takes her face in his hands. His ember eyes look at her warmly, “Zeus told me what you did. I am so proud of you Holly. How do you feel?”Holly gives him a little smile, “I feel calm, hopeful, and ready to move on towards a better future.”A shimmer of hope sparks in Nolan his face when he hears her words and he replies, “Why did you decide to face your fears after all this time?”Holly softly strokes his face, “I think I realized that I needed it for me but also for us. NOELLE’S POV,Faith and I left just a few days ago from Liberum. I haven’t had a decent sleep for days and some good food would be welcome too. Luckily Faith said we will be able to rest at a nearby village soon. I really need the rest because it feels like I am getting sick or something. NOELLE’S POV,The next morning, I go back to Donna’s cottage. She is already waiting for me in front of her door like she knew I would come. She doesn’t look surprised that I am alone and doesn’t ask questions. “Let’s go the forest so we can train in solitary,” Donna says.I still feel a bit hesitant, but it doesn’t really feel like I have much of a choice. And I do know how to open up the mind connection but I am not gift-ed with mind magic myself. Actually, there are only a few who are. NOELLE’S POV,The next morning I walk towards Donna her cottage as soon as the sun comes up. I figured out a believable reason for me to leave so abruptly. So I decided not to waste any time and go as soon as possible. Donna is already waiting for me outside her cottage but she immedi-ately notices that today is different. She opens up the door and softly says, “Come in, I see we have to talk first by the look on your face.”I nod and walk inside to sit at the table close to the fireplace. NOELLE’S POV,Thorn and I have been flying over a desert landscape for a while now. It was a nice distrac-tion to listen to Thorn going on and on about Dagahra. I know exactly how it feels to love someone so much that they are all you can think about. If I just picture Gabriel his face, I immediately smell his scent of pinecones and fresh winter air. But I never knew it could hurt so much to miss someone so I try to not think about him all the time. NOELLE’S POV,“Where is she? Where is she?” I hear Gabriel shout. Just hearing his voice already makes my heart explode. Everyone quickly gets out of the way and then I see him. He is running to-wards me but as soon as he sees me, he stops. We just stare at each other for a moment and then he runs towards me and swoops me in his arms. I can’t even begin to describe how good it feels to have his arms around me and smell his scent. He sits down on the floor holding me and I can hear his heart beating really fast. I take his face in my hands and put my fore-head against his, tears of joy travel down my cheeks. I look into his beautiful blue eyes and sigh with happiness. He softly strokes my cheek brushing the tears away and puts his lips on mine. I lean into his embrace and enjoy the sensation of his lips on mine again.
