Chapter 36: Terror

Aidan was in her living room when she walked in. She was not surprised, he had the keys to her apartment and sometimes he did come in this manner.

“You came” she was not sure if what she said came out right. She was not sure if she wanted to continue with the relationship. Not that she no longer loved him but she feared that he was too dangerous for her. All her life,she had hoped that she never came across any of them and now she was even in a relationship with one. She had not been fair on her part to hide her identity from her but he had done the same thing too. She avoided his gaze and walked away without waiting for a response from him. He followed her.

“Joan cut me some slack,I defended you didn't I?I told them that I want to marry you”. He said.

“ and when you are not there,what will they do to me”

“They will protect you”

“They don't seem to me as people who would do that”

“Its in their nature to command fear*

“ I…”

“Enough” he interrupted "you decide, are you going to marry
