Chapter Thirteen

Liam's POV

I sat in my office staring at nothing in particular. I miss Alice. She has grown on me with the few days we spent together.

I was a bit sad when I learned that she left for Russia that morning. I just want to have her to myself.

I know she has a lot of work to do but I wish she was beside me instead.

And fuck the way she commanded those guys to do their work was a fucking turn-on for me.

I was so glad I married her. I know that no one in my Mafia will dare disrespect her.

Apart from the fact that she's my wife, she is also a Don and with just that, she has earned her respect.

I also have some businesses to work on. I could have asked someone to handle it but I don't trust anyone to do the job as perfectly as I would want it.

Sometimes when I try to let people do it, they add more problems to the one on ground. Whenever I do dirty work, it makes me hunger more for power.

I may not be perfect and as romantic as I should but sometimes I am scared that Alice would leave me.
