19: Little Brother, Wake Up

"Ah-"Sol Ming groggily blinked awake. 

In her mind the system's prompt has also been ringing for who knows how long it was. 

Only she knew that she was sweating hard, heart racing, pitifully gasping for air, staring into the ceiling of the shabby tent, as tears leaked from her eyes at that dream she recently had. 

She was drowning. 

It was vivid and felt so real, very real—the feeling of somebody's hands on her neck, strangling her to death, yet a suffocation of water kept torturing her without a guaranteed death. 

It is actually not meant to kill but to be abused. What is so good is the torment where you cannot die at all.

Isn't that more pleasurable to the tormentor?

One can't die, one can only suffer. 

That's where she woke up and almost held her fragile neck. 

As she looked around the tent, there was no Shan Yang in sight, it was already morning, and people's voices were going around outside.&n
