Evelyn's POV

"Dad!" I cried, startled slightly. "Evelyn, I'm glad you came home to me. I knew you would though, I prayed for it." He said softly. "I'm not staying Dad. Just came to collect my things. I thought you wouldn't be home until lunch time." I said, my eyes darting everywhere, wondering where Aiden was. "NO!" My father shouted, making me jump. I started to back away in the direction of the front door. My father smiled at me, waving a set of keys in front of him.

"You can't get out Evelyn, I locked the deadbolt. It will remain that way until you've completely forgotten about that mutt!" He said fiercely, his lips snarling with the last word. "Mutt? How dare you call him that Dad! You don't know him! I'll never forget about him! Ever!" I cried, tears welling up in my eyes.
