I really hoped that this was wall was an illusion; it naturally felt like one to me.
I walked closer with my eyes shut while thinking of Elias
Kennedi's POVWhy couldn't he tell that it was me? The crowd was silent as they eyed me suspiciously with rising glimpses of hope burning in their eyes as they looked at their Alpha.
Kennedi's POV"Kennedi," she looked at me as the wind blew her wavy hair, "Who took you?"I replied, "I know everyone was worried about me, but why is that so important?"
Kennedi's POVShe summoned a portal and sent me to my front door. She said her goodbye for now and I entered the house to see a warm face awaiting my return."Matt!" I screamed as I ran toward him.
Kennedi’s POVRunning at full human speed took its toll on me, but I succeeded at getting away. No one followed me so I slowed my pace & stopped at a dying tree. It was dying early. It was only the beginning of October; it was still hot. I guess this tree was unusual. I walked up to it and placed my hand on its tough bark.
