Chapter 14 Riya's interrogation

TANIA:

For a short while, everyone took their attention away from me and concentrated on their meals and discussions. I had already been served my meal and I was so grateful to have it. I didn't notice how hungry I was until I saw them eating happily on the table.

"Is there anything you need, Tania? Like water or more wine or food..." Talon crooned and I shook my head. I was perfectly fine with everything that was set out before me. "Are you sure?" He asked again, his eyes shifting to my almost empty plate that was on the table.

From all indications, it was obvious that I was hungry and I didn't know if I was too apparent about it. Nobody seemed to care as they were still engulfed in their discussion.

"I'm fine, Talon. I don't need anything. Thank you," I said to Talon.
