50: A Call

No matter how many times I willed my body to move, it simply refused to follow my order. Jason’s eyes rake over me from head to toe, shamelessly and doing absolutely nothing to hide what he was doing.

I could even say he didn’t know he was doing that because he seemed frozen, his mouth agape.

The place has been warm since we arrived. Now that the sun has set, it is slightly chilly. Which causes my nipples to harden, right under his gaze.

Forget what I said earlier, now, I’m about to die of mortification.

Life was putting me in the worst situations ever without providing any refuge.

We stood there for what felt like forever. It was very long, I could tell, because the water my legs were still in, wasn’t hot anymore and the water on my skin had dried. Though I would say that had more to do with the fire burning inside me than anything.

The shrill ringing of a cell phone makes me jump unexpectedly. That breaks whatever spell had been bound on us. Jason curses before spinning around
