Maya POV

“Cole?” His name left my lips in a whisper with my eyes wide as i stared at the man in the corner, a man i didnt think i’ll see anytime soon.

“You know him?” Malcolm asked and i leaned back to the chair and took in a deep breath.

“Unfortunately-” I smacked my lips together and crossed my legs, it was upsetting to see him here after what he did in those past years and now he was here and it was clear he was here for something. Even with the fact that i had nothing to be worried about, it still bothered me that he was here.

As if sensing my upset, Malcolm leaned down to my ears and i relaxed.

“You seem tensed, do you want to get out of here?” he asked.

“No, i’m not running. He’s not going to intimidate me to leave just because i dont want to be around him.” I answered honestly, from the corner of my eyes i watched Cole walk away to the bar, no sparing a look in our direction.

“Who is he?” I leaned back and away from Malcolm’s grip.
