“I’m so sorry Eve. I swear, I never meant to fail you. I didn’t know he would try to hurt you after my warning. Please. Please talk to me. I can’t bear to hear your silence.” Mikael had begged her.
Eve continues to stare t the ceiling. Her eyes empty and her lips parted in exhaustion. Her palm both place don what used to be her pride and joy. Now, her beloved daughter is no more. She had lost her baby. The only thing that keeps her alive at that point.
She listens well to Mikael’s apologies but it was all a little too late. She hasn’t even shade one tears for her daughter and that made her angry. When Mikael left her to grieve, he pulls her arm making him surprised.
