Chapter 10: Running Away From the Truth

"There's a ritual. It's dangerous and painful, but it will unbind you from Tate," my mother quickly retorted.
I was frozen in shock, "you want me to become a Scarred One? Are you serious! Do any of you care for me at all!" I was screaming at this point.
I turned and ran. I went straight to my room tossed everything in my suitcase. I grabbed my phone and texted Tate. "I'm heading home early. I'll see you soon."
I got a reply right away, "see you soon then." I don't know why but his text seemed off-putting to me. I brushed it off. I was between a rock and a hard place, and I was choosing the hard place. I rushed down the stairs to the door. I wasn't going to stop for anything, not even to say goodbye to my siblings. I get to the car and throw my suitcase in the back seat. Chapter 11: Not a Princess in a Tower Amelie I woke in a panic. I sit up quickly and look around franticly. I breathe a sigh of relief as I see I am alone. Chapter 12: Fight for Freedom Amelie Now it was a waiting game. I could see the sun had come up, and I knew he would be coming soon to check on me. I analyze the room, trying to decide what the best angle to ambush him would be. I decided it would be best to move the dresser next to the doorway and stand on top. I swing my "sleeve Maces," yep, I figured out a weapon name, down using gravity to give me more force. I push the dresser over and wait. Chapter 13: Recovery Amelie Everything hurts. I think there might be one spot on my pinky toe that doesn't hurt. I cannot even open my eyes. My eyelids hurt. How do eyelids hurt? What is that smell? Chapter 14: A New Start at Home Amelie "I do have one more question. Why did Alpha Mason kick me out of the Pack and take my shop?" To be honest, I think that almost hurt worse than the fight.
