"How's she doing, doctor?" Christian halted pacing in the Weston private hospital waiting bay when the doctor emerged.

"She's fine for now; although she was dehydrated, we managed to pump enough fluids to get her going. It also seems that she's under stress, and given her condition, her mind shouldn't be dealing with such things." The doctor explained, beckoning Christian to follow him down the white painted wall hallway. There were ocean blue double sided doors on either side, with either wards or rooms behind.

Christian had requested for a private room for Isabelle. He wanted her to get the best help and care she could. His limbs felt heavy as they approached her room, his heart beating erratically. If only he had accepted his feelings for Isabelle instead of fighting them off. Wouldn't it have been better if he had not hired Sarah? What if he had been good to Isabelle from day one without insulting her in between?
