Chapter 30

Marcus, Carson's client, has not stopped thanking him since the court announced him not guilty. He had actually thought he would lose the case and be sentenced to years in prison. Not until Carson came with some solid proof that Marcus didn't do any of what he was accused of.

This shut the other lawyer's mouth immediately.

“Thank you so much, Attorney. I don't know what I'll do to ever repay you for this great help,” he said as he shook hands with Carson.

“I'll suggest you be good and calm from now on. I mean, you literally made me a fool sometimes, don't let your mouth or pride put you in double trouble. Your anger should be checked along with how you run your mouth in public” Carson advised.

The funny thing was, Marcus kept nodding his head obediently. He has seen that he was supposed to rot in jail if not for Carson.

“I'll keep that in mind from now on,” Marcus said before Carson excused himself.

Walking out of the building, he made his way back to the office.
