For Better or Worse

             Emily awoke long enough to register that James climbed into bed with her. She’d not slept in almost two days. He’d not returned except to deliver food to her. Now here he lay, so close behind her, she could feel his body’s heat. However, as tired as she was, Emily couldn’t summon the energy to complain or push him away. It felt almost comforting to her. Soon enough her consciousness faded out to black again, even as her mind registered the smell of whiskey on his breath.

             Sometime in the early morning, though, Emily awoke to the delicious feel of a pair of hands caressing her almost bare body. A mouth kissing a trail down her belly toward the juncture of her thighs. Moaning as pleasure zing through her body, she opened to his ministrations.
