Chapter 18

ELLIOT POV

Everytime I think about it, it makes me angry.

It's been 6 months now since we lost dad to cancer.

We knew how severe it was and how much he had spent on keeping himself healthy but death did its part.

I knew he was going to lose it at the end but we had to keep encouraging him.

At least my mother did that part.

I just wanted to take over and be the boss.

I mean, that's every first son's aspiration; to take over his father's business and run the family.

Little did I know, things won't spin in my favour.

It was a shameful afternoon for me that day.

The will was to be ready a week after father's death and burial.

The Huxleys and family friends were gathered at Dad's penthouse as we await the lawyer to read out the will in front of everyone.

The look on my face as I stood in anticipation as the lawyer was about to utter those words.

I can bet even the lawyer was surprised at what he saw.

Dad must have changed it without his knowledge but how is that even possible?
