The knife that Ingrid had previously held to her neck was now sticking out of her chest. It seemed far from her heart and hadn't been stabbed too deeply. Still, it was a scary sight.

Nathaniel hurriedly shielded Angeline and ushered her aside to make a path for the police to take Ingrid away. The police knew it was the day of Nathaniel and Angeline's engagement, so they left after saying a few words to Angeline.
