Chapter 989

Miles brought Mallory to Lawson Global to meet Angeline personally. But Angeline had no time to meet them as she had been in a meeting for the whole afternoon.

The two kept waiting in Lawson Global's reception room until nightfall.

Nathaniel heard that Angeline was working overtime that day, so he went to the office, bringing dinner with him. He saw Miles and Mallory sitting in the reception room through the huge floor-to-ceiling glass and asked Angeline's staff in the secretary's office, "Who are those people?"

"I heard they are Ms. Lawson's old acquaintances in Oceanford. Ms. Lawson has been in a meeting that hasn't ended yet. We'd already asked the two to leave, but they kept waiting inside," the staff told Nathaniel everything, treating him like Angeline's pampered husband. "Looks like they're here to ask for Ms. Lawson's help."

Nathaniel nodded. "How much longer will the meeting take?"

"I don't know. There's no news from the meeting room. But I think it should be ending
